In May 2026, the Food Standards Agency launched an investigation into Hartshead Meats Ltd (Abattoir ID: GB2095) in Mossley, UK, following footage revealing deeply disturbing alleged animal cruelty.

The full FSA criminal investigation into the alleged animal cruelty and welfare offences remains ongoing whilst the facility remains open.

This campaign is fighting for justice for the animals at Hartshead Meats by demanding accountability, action from the relevant authorities and the closure of the facility.

Supporters across the UK and around the world are raising awareness, contacting decision-makers and growing the campaign.
